Walking in Heaven
One blue night I fall asleep,
I got a flight without a ticket,
I woke up in a place of hopes and dreams,
I am walking in heaven,
I am going to meet my dream
But do I really need the things I meet?
I think I saw the ghost of grandpa,
He was kind and and he showed me the way,
We reached a field full of grain, and he disappeared,
I walked across the field, I saw a small peaceful house,
I opened the door, and I saw the reason of my flight,
And I thought to my self, living a dream, is better then dreaming,
I am walking in heaven,
I am going to meet my dream,
But do I really need the things I meet?
A short while after, I came down from heaven,
And I said to my self, it is a flight that I will never forget,
But I hope that there is no more free tickets left.
A short poem or a song, that was inspired by the song “Walking in Memphis” by Marc Cohn.

Lovely song/poem. The last line was a surprise, I thought the narrator enjoyed the dream.

Thank you for the comment!
After he saw the “reason of his flight”, he decided not to visit heaven anymore, to let the things flow as they are…
